July 2010
New session has started in school. It appears to be the same but it is different, some people still not sure about their choices some forced to take a certain subject some thinking which coaching to join some still hoping that their friends too take the same subject, etc etc.
I on the other hand am insanely happy. I have a got an awesome subject combination, two of my friends have also taken the same combination and we have been placed in the A section along with students who have taken up computer science.
It is the zero period, I am sitting in the last benches along with my most favourite people. Sarah, Smriti, Arushi, Priya, Zoya, and well two new additions to my close friend circle Anushka and Namrata.
Everyone is talking how awesome or completely useless their vacations were. Anushka and Namrata are also trying to join in the conversation but sadly they are always cut in between. Because of our seating arrangement in class I have become friends with them but my friends do not like them. But hey still haven't figured it out yet I guess.
(When I first started talking to Anushka and Namrata.
Smriti- Are you now friends with them or what?
Sarah- Go Go stay with your new and stupid friends. Oh god Zyana I thought you knew better.
I- Smriti yes I am friends with them and so are you. And Sarah baby since when did you start saying bad stuff about people. They are fine, different maybe and you both know them more than I do.
Smriti- That's what we are saying we know them better than you do.
I- All of their friends have switched schools or got transferred come on they are normal people. You'll find them nice.
This discussion of ours made my friends let Anushka and Namrata into our group, though later when they leave my friends make fun of them but for now it was under control.)
Back to where we were.
Ok so everybody is discussing about their summer vacations.
But I am lost in my own thoughts. Maybe because I had been watching lot of How I met your mother lately that I go into flashback.
How I met
Sarah-
Sarah Baby as I call her, even though she is 16 years old she is still a baby, a big very big baby, very very innocent never says bad about anybody or maybe sometimes she does, follows all the rules, is very innocent and has a chubby face which is always lighted up with a smile.
Sarah and I are friends since class I we used to live in the same colony and we shared the same bus we were in different schools though. Then my father got transferred to many places and after some years when I came back to this city I joined her school and we used to sit next to each other in the board examinations and now we were in the same section because of our subject combinations. And she is one of my best friends. She speaks constantly not caring whether anyone listens to her or not. She talks about stuff which she had read here or there and sometimes it is very informative other times totally nonsense weird and gross.
Like the other day she told me, you know I read some where that there are millions of germs on our eyebrows and it doesn't matter if we bathe everyday or every hour they remain there forever!!!
I really don't know whether it's true but it totally freaked me out.
Arushi-
She is very very very studious and this was the reason we started talking in 9th class she used to sit in the adjacent row. When we were given problems to solve we were among the first ones to solve so we started discussing questions doubts and stuff and so we became good friends.
But she has a very bad temper she gets annoys very easily if she doesn't get the marks she thought she would get and I dare you to go talk to her that time. Well she is one of the two who has the same subject combination as I have.
Smriti-
Smriti and I are in the same house she is about 6 inches taller than me and she has really really long hair, and she also has a constant grin on her face.
Smriti was a close friend of Akarshita (my best friend) and when Akarshita and I were put in the same section along with Smriti and Arushi. Smriti and I got to talking, I didn't like her at first but I had no other option but to talk to her. It turned out she didn't like me either but then we started talking normally and we became friends.
Priya-
Priya is a basket ball player. She has the same height as I have. She has a cute face, short hair which she ties in two ponies.
She talks nonsense. If given a chance she can go on and on for hours altogether and still have enough stock of nonsense left.
Priya used to sit two place ahead of me. Once in Maths Practical class she gave me glue and since then she is glued permanently to my life.
Zoya-
Zoya is a volleyball player. She is petite but very fit and has great stamina. Her hair falls below her shoulders which are always very neatly tied into plaits.
I knew her since 7th class as once I had tried to play volleyball but that went down the drain. But our Board roll numbers were one after the other. In the prelim examination we started talking and in the Science MCQ paper she lended me her black ball point pen (which I still haven't returned).
She is now my partner.
When Anushka and Namrata have entered my life I should mention them too.
Anushka-
Anushka is very tall, a little on the heavier side but has very very pretty eyes. Her hair is cut in the latest fashion which she manages to tie in ponytails with numerous flicks all over her face. She is exceptionally good in Maths.
Anushka was in my section in 10th class we used to talk sometimes but it was just study stuff or anything general. She helped me complete my work when I came back after attending my cousin's marriage. And we won a match of Antakshiri as a team.
Namrata-
Namrata is a typical South Indian girl with jet black long thick hair and big eyes.
She was in my section in 7th and 8th we had few common friends we talked sometime but we never were in the category of friends.
This is how I met my crazy and oh so loving friends. :)
